If you do travel to Canmore make sure to check out the hike to Grassi Lakes. This is a very moderate 1.7km roundtrip hike at a very gradual slope. At the top you are rewarded with views of these crystal clear emerald waters surrounded by greenery and mountains. For more check out my post about my five favorite photography spots around Canmore. Every October/November, tens of thousands of Snow Geese use the Victoriaville reservoir as a pit stop on their migration from Canada's high arctic, to their wintering grounds in the South Western US. These mushrooms were less than 1cm tall, and were really easy to miss on a casual stroll. Another 20 shot focus stack for back to front focus. #floraphotography #woodlandphotography #lccphotoclub #mushrooms #flora #tinymushrooms #morganarboretum In late September I had the opportunity to learn about photographing the tiny things that surround us courtesy of a Lakeshore Camera Club field trip, in this case exploring the forest floor. I found this Toad just sitting there looking very, well Toad-ish and decided it might be fun. This was 20 images that were re-assembled in post processing to get everything on the Toad in focus.
