Due to its accessibility and scenic beauty, parking fills up quickly, so visitors are encouraged to arrive early. Hikers encounter two main stops: the Lower Falls after 1.2 km and the Upper Falls after an additional 1.3 km, often resulting in wait times of up to an hour. Alternatives to Johnston Canyon include Marble Canyon and Takakaw Falls for those seeking less crowded experiences.
